BTE AutoReiseZug starts the new season on 22 May
Connection between Hamburg-Altona and Lörrach covering around 900 kilometres.
BTE BahnTouristikExpress GmbH will commence the seasonal operation of the BTE AutoReiseZug between Hamburg-Altona and Lörrach (Baden-Württemberg) on Thursday, 22 May. The team at RDC Deutschland Gruppe is currently preparing the final phase to ensure that travellers and their vehicles are comfortably transported through the night in time for the season opening.
With up to seven vehicle transport wagons and space for up to 70 vehicles, the train provides a convenient connection between northern and southern Germany over approximately 900 kilometres. In addition to cars, motorcycles can also be transported. Meanwhile, passengers can relax in reclining or sleeping cars with sanitary facilities and breakfast the next morning. Snacks and drinks are available until midnight, and children will receive a small surprise at check-in during the holiday season. “Our customers should feel comfortable from booking to arrival. Therefore, we continuously optimise our processes, taking into account both employee and customer feedback,” explains Wolfgang Seyb, Managing Director of BTE BahnTouristikExpress GmbH. The BTE AutoReiseZug will operate on 100 traffic days during the 2025 season between May and October in both directions. Departures will always be in the evening – in line with the motto: Sleep once and then arrive.
