RDC Deutschland Gruppe strengthens workshops and maintenance

Ronald Dietrich takes over management.

The RDC Deutschland Gruppe is consistently expanding its infrastructure and workshop business area. From 1 April 2026, Ronald Dietrich will take over the management of maintenance and workshops of the RDC Deutschland Gruppe. This includes the workshop locations in Lengerich and Niebüll. With his many years of experience in leading large maintenance workshops for rail vehicles, Ronald Dietrich is driving the optimisation of processes, efficiency improvements and the sustainable material supply of the fleet decisively forward.

Within the framework of the maintenance strategy, Lengerich plays a central role for the group. After successful steps in recent months, including the start of personnel expansion and the introduction of two-shift operation in February, capacities at the location are now being further expanded.

An important step is the procurement of two battery-powered shunting vehicles, which enable more flexible shunting operations on the factory premises and at the same time reduce dependence on external support. With a view to the targeted full-load operation, additional capabilities and processes are being developed. The previously nine-strong team in Lengerich will be strengthened by three more employees. This creates the conditions for the RDC Deutschland Gruppe to take on services for partner companies in addition to internal orders in the future. One of the central goals is also to gradually integrate the previously externally awarded ECM-4 services into the company while ensuring the high availability of the vehicle fleet.

Ronald Dietrich also takes over the previous tasks of Ingo Ahrendt at RDC Asset GmbH. He is responsible for the management and further development of the ECM-1 and ECM-2 areas and brings in his strategic experience specifically to optimise maintenance processes, increase efficiency and sustainably strengthen materials management.

"We thank Ingo Ahrendt, who will now focus more on Lengerich, and Ronald Dietrich for their outstanding commitment and look forward to continued successful cooperation," says Marcus Ebert, Chief Operating Officer for the Infrastructure and Workshops business area.
