Sylt, August 2025 – A new duo is shaking up the airwaves on Sylt: Conny Reckert and Frank Bremser are co-hosting the new talk format “Sylter Journal” – every Friday at 6 PM live on AUTOZUG RADIO Sylt on Radio-Sylt.de. With fresh perspectives, clear stances, and a genuine island focus, the two discuss current topics that concern the people of Sylt.

The chemistry is right: Already in the first two broadcasts, it became clear that the former hotel operator and creator of the successful Facebook group “Sylter Journal” and the experienced radio professional (including R.SH) make a true dream team. “We speak as we feel,” says Reckert – and Bremser enthusiastically adds: “Conny brings a fresh perspective and clear words to the studio.”

Each week, the duo tackles topics that are discussed on the Facebook platform “Sylter Journal” – with over 13,000 members. The group is known for its clear moderation style: Anyone who insults or behaves rudely is kicked out. The show is just as clearly structured.

Independent, opinionated, to the point. Reckert and Bremser have already targeted controversial island topics in the first episodes – such as the rejected donation of flower pots by local entrepreneurs or the requested concept for a new care home.

The two are not native Sylters – perhaps that’s exactly what gives them a fresh, unbiased perspective. “We care about the island and what is possible on it,” says Reckert.
