Focusing on night travel in Germany and Europe, we offer attractive destinations. Seasonally, from May to October, cars or motorcycles can be taken along on the train journey from Hamburg to Lörrach. In cooperation with the Swedish State Railways SJ, we operate the SJ EuroNight year-round from Berlin via Hamburg, Copenhagen Airport, and Malmö to Stockholm.

The company was formed on 4 April 2004 from the merger of BahnTouristikBamberg GbR and Bahntouristik Schiedermeier, Regensburg. The company is registered under HRB 22504 at the Nuremberg District Court. In 2016, with the launch of the BTE AutoReiseZug, the Railroad Development Corporation (RDC) acquired approximately 50 percent of the company indirectly through BTE Beteiligungs GmbH. Wolfgang Seyb joined the management team at BTE BahnTouristikExpress GmbH on March 1, 2022. Kathleen Stöckel will become a member of the management team at the beginning of 2026. |
